Pink is definitely Summer 2018 hot colour! From NYC to paris, we’ve seen it stroll down every single runway in all its tones, shapes and texture and we are obsessed! I am really into neutrals and soft tones on a daily basis, HOWEVER, I must admit I can’t resist a hot fire pink piece when summer comes! And when I go pink, I go all the wayyyyy In! That said I love a fabulous total look, with kaftans, or very long flowy pants and shirts! It’s super chic and statement, specially when paired with amazing golden oversized earrings and a nice sleek low-bun! It really gives you that “rich bitch” allure that we all love, you know, the usual ballin on a budget! I can see myself wearing a look like that in Marrakesh!
Mind the Strap!
We all have one stripped piece in our closet.. be it your classic marinière, or just a random shirt, its a staple piece! They are coming back full force next summer, very bold and extra just how we love it! And I know it can be a little bit of a taboo print, because one stripe doesn’t fit all, however, there are little tips and tricks to make you love them even if you’re not exactly Kendall Jenner body type, but who is it anyways? So back to our muffin top/carbs after ten happy life, I totally recommend our chubby ladies to go for thinner vertical stripes.. they don’t make you wide and even give you the almost skinny AF illusion! I really love a total stripes look, I think it’s super elegant and sorta statement (I say that a lot! HA!).. A long silky dress, or just an oversized pants and shirt set paired with your fav rich bitch sunglasses it’s what you need to be Jackie O’ ready all summer!
Let’s bring it back to Fall 2015, when we all drooled over our screens as we scrolled down our timelines and all we could see were those amazing, sparkly, metallic, amazing pleated Gucci skirts.. Too many adjectives?! I know. Well, Alessandro Michele did us a favour : he went all the way back to the 70’s and brought us a trend we didn’t know we couldn’t live without : metallics! They are here to stay, and we are definitely into this disco fever! It’s obviously a very tricky trend, since you have to be careful not to look like a straight up disco ball! I totally recommend wearing It one piece at the time : a skirt, a top but never both at the same time! I’d totally rock an extra mini skirt (club 54 ladies and gentlemen!), with a vintage band tee, you know those that are super worn, tucked into the skirt and crazy high heels, or just some Stan Smiths..depending on the occasion obviously! SO the secret here is to dress it down with basics, cause you are clearly going all the way UP with the sparkly metallic skirt!
Sonhos de Renda
Can we really consider it summer if there’s no lace involved? I don’t think so. In my world, it’s only summer if you get to wear that romantic Chloé”ish” beautiful lace piece.. and I don’t care what you say! HA! Jokes aside, it’s a staple and it never gets out of style, from Grace Kelly summers in Monaco, to Beyoncé cruising with uncle Jay in the early 2000’s, it’s a classic! I really love what I’ve seen in the runways this past fashion week, specially in NYC, Zimmermann brought a super gothic romantic side, but also very sexy and sophisticated.. I love when our lifetime classics get elevated to new heights.. What I particularly love, is that you can pretty much wear your lace pieces with everything, be it with some classic smoking pants for the office, or with destroyed denim shorts for Saint Tropez, ISSA LEWK (for those not familiar with 21 Savage, trap music, black culture and so on ISSA LEWK=it’s a look.. you are cool now, thank me later HA!) I personally love a nice lace dress, with simple brown leather sandals, with a matching cross bag.. or a red lip and heels for night time!
