Em matéria de estilo de vida saudável, estímulos e motivação são sempre bem vindos para nos ajudar nesta longa (nem sempre fácil) caminhada. Como queremos que a busca pelo equilíbrio e evolução seja constante, resolvemos convidar mulheres da vida real, inspiradoras e perfeitas nas suas imperfeições a contar um bocado das suas jornadas fit, assim como partilhar os seus planos de treino atuais.

A nossa primeira convidada, Yara de Abreu, não só é praticante ávida de crossfit mas também foi a integrante feminina da equipa que venceu (1º lugar) dos Spartans Beach Games. Então preparem-se para esclarecer todos aqueles “mas como é que ela consegue”, a Yara contou desde como começou a “fitness journey” dela, o plano de treino semanal,  suplementação e para as nossas crossfiteiras de plantão os seus PR (termo de crossfit que indica o recorde pessoal de cada atleta).

  • Como começou a vida fitness?

Na verdade sempre fui muito activa. Aos 4/5 anos os meus pais inscreveram-me no ballet. Naquela altura ainda tinham esperanças que me tornasse uma menina meiga e super fofinha! (haha, sike!). Aos 7 anos fui viver para França e la comecei a fazer Natação e Judo, modalidade que amo e na qual cheguei a competir à nível Regional em França. Quando voltei a Luanda parei os dois. Durante todo o médio fazia actividades desportivas na escola (Basketball, volleyball principalmente). Quando acabei o médio fui para França e la jogava basketball com a universidade e treinava no ginásio. Em Janeiro de 2015, quando decidi que realmente queria mudanças na minha vida e que queria perder peso, comecei a ter consultas com uma nutricionista que me ensinou muita coisa em termos de alimentação e ai comecei a frequentar o ginásio de maneira religiosa. A minha alimentação mudou muito, claro com alguns (muitos) cheat meals (ou days) e perdi 15 kgs em menos de 3 meses. Enquanto isso, o meu irmão tinha começado a dar aulas de Crosstraining em Luanda. Cross training porque no mundo do Crossfit, só as boxes afiliadas à Crossfit é que podem usar este nome. No cacimbo deste ano vim a Luanda e treinei com o meu irmão durante 1 mês, não perdi peso porque também não estava a seguir a dieta de forma regular mas perdi MUITO VOLUME, fiquei muito mais tonificada e mais fit! Voltando a França retomei o ginásio, sempre com Saudades do Crosstraining!

Em Fevereiro de 2016 tinha perdido 30 kgs, e foi nesta altura que fui para Barcelona em Erasmus. Melhor experiência que tive, não só por Barcelona ser uma das minhas cidades favoritas no mundo, mas também porque estando la em Erasmus tinha muito tempo livre! Embarquei uma das minhas amigas que vivia comigo na minha jornada fit, o que ajuda muitoo a manter o foco, sempre! Comecei a treinar Muay Thaï e Crosstraining. Treinava 6 vezes por semana, alguns dias fazia dois treinos (um de Muay Thaï e outro de Crosstraining). Mais uma vez, nos 6 meses que estive em Barcelona não perdi peso, pelo contrário, ganhei 3 kgs MAS perdi mesmo muito volume, o meu cardio estava no topo, meu corpo muito mais tonificado e a minha auto-estima melhorou significativamente. Isto tudo para dizer que muitas vezes (e já me aconteceu) ficamos paranóicas com a balança, chegamos a pesar-nos todos os dias, mas temos que ver além do peso. Destes kgs, quantos são de gordura? Quantos são de músculos? Isso é que realmente interessa. A altura em que estava mais leve não corresponde à altura em que estava mais “magra”. De volta a França não quis parar, desta vez inscrevi-me numa box de Crossfit e numa academia de artes marciais. Continuei a treinar de 5 a 6 vezes por semana, na medida do possível, visto que já não tinha a disponibilidade que tinha em Barcelona. Fast forward to Outubro de 2017, acabei os meus estudos, volto para Luanda e claro volto a treinar na Box de crossfit na qual o meu irmão é head coach, a Ultimate Burn Crossfit (melhor box do mundo, melhor claque, melhor tudo). Visto que tinha bastante tempo treinava de manhã e por vezes a tarde também. Quando comecei a trabalhar, em Maio de 2018, passei para o horário da noite, sempre treinando 6 vezes por semana. Até hoje!

  • Plano de uma semana de treino

Costumo treinar 6 vezes por semana. Em época de preparação (para competiçã), treino de 6 a 7 dias por semana, sendo um deles um “active rest day”. Nestes “active rest day” fazemos muita mobilidade, alongamentos, e o treino consiste em corrida, remo, exercícios que não causam muita tensão nos músculos. Antes da preparação tornar-se mais intensa, faço cardio de manhã (em jejum), 3 vezes na semana.

Em regra geral, eu tomo BCAA, Vitamina C e Magnésio. Para a preparação da competição passei a tomar Creatina (há pouco menos de um mês) e termogénico.

Creatina: Composto orgânico sintetizado a partir de três aminoácidos: glicina, metionina e arginina. Substância encontrada no corpo (principalmente músculos e cérebro). Ajuda na recuperação muscular, aumento de massa muscular e melhoria do desempenho.

BCAA : Em Português : Aminoacidos de cadeia ramificada. Composto de 3 aminoacidos: valina, leucina e isoleucina (forma 1/3 das proteínas musculares). Ajuda na recuperação muscular, em caso de lesões, melhoria no sistema imunológico.

Termogénico: Principal função de acelerar o metabolismo, aumentado a quantidade de calorias perdidas. Pode também ajudar a inibir a sensação de fome.

  • Crossfit

O que mais me agrada no crossfit é que nunca se é demasionado bom. O objectivo não é só levantar mais peso, mas sim descobrir a cada dia que se é capaz de muito mais, e que o corpo humano pode fazer tudo que a mente lhe dicta! Sendo uma modalidade mega completa, não só levantamos pesos, mas também fazemos muita ginástica, ganhamos em mobilidade e flexibilidade, melhoramos o nosso cardio, entre outros benefícios. O espirito de “acaba primeiro e depois ajuda os teus colegas” cria uma coesão de equipa muito especial e cada novo movimento que se aprende é uma festa!

A nível pessoal, o Crossfit não só fez com que eu desenvolvesse competências que eu nunca pensei em ter, que eu afrontasse certos medos e traumas antigos mas também ajudou-me muito a aceitar o meu corpo, como é. Certo, não sou e nem nunca serei magra mas tenho força, tenho saúde e a cada dia luto para atingir os meus objectivos, o que é muito satisfatório.

Em termos de alimentação, que como já sabem contribui a 70% numa perda de peso saudável, treinar com objectivos outros que perder peso ajuda a manter o foco. Não quero perder peso por perder, quero perder peso porque sei que estando mais leve vou ter um melhor desempenho em certos exercícios que fazem parte dos WODs (Workout of the Day). Quando se começa a correr mais rápido, quando os burpees ficam menos difíceis, tudo vale a pena!

  • PRs

O PR ou Personal Record, é, como o seu nome indica o recorde pessoal de cada atleta. Pode vir em forma de repetições máximas (por exemplo fazer X burpees em 2 min), em tempo (ex: corro 1 km em x minutos) ou em peso (consigo levantar X kgs neste ou naquele movimento).

O 1RM ou 1 Rep Max corresponde ao peso que só conseguimos levantar, agachar uma só vez.

Alguns dos meus RMs: Deadlift : 150 kgs, Back Squat: 105 kgs, Clean and Jerk: 75 kgs
